In the past, laboratories usually used PCR and RT - PCR methods to obtain a gene fragment, but they often couldn't catch the gene because of samples and templates. Now, we use chemical synthesis to artificially construct gene fragments, that is, whole gene synthesis and splicing technology. It can serve the majority of scientific research friends.


Gene synthesis refers to a technology of synthesizing double stranded DNA molecules in vitro, which is different from oligonucleotide synthesis. Oligonucleotides are single stranded, and the longest fragment that can be synthesized is only about 100nt, while gene synthesis is double stranded DNA molecular synthesis, and the length range that can be synthesized is 50bp-12kb.
